Regular preventative dental care helps avoid acute dental problems. Even with the best care, dental emergencies can happen to any of us. That’s why we always keep appointments set aside every day in case of emergency calls. Got toothache? If you need an emergency dentist, we’ll do all we can to help you. This service is also open to non-registered patients.

IMPORTANT: to help us provide the emergency care service effectively, please call the practice as early as possible in the day.

To improve our weekend emergency dental service, we also have our on-call dentist (a member of your St James’ team) present in the practice every Saturday morning. Don’t hesitate to telephone for help and advice or call in to the practice if you are at all worried.

We care for you after hours too, by providing on-call emergency dental cover for evenings, weekends and holidays. When the practice is closed, please telephone 01452 727667; our phone system will transfer you automatically to the on-call dentist. Please leave your telephone number and a short message. This service is only available for existing private patients of St. James’ Dental. NHS patients should telephone 08451 207179 where a helpline is available.
